My inspiration for this unique plaque comes from a picture stone found on the island of Gotland, Sweden its dated to the Vendel era 540-790 AD.
First off is her posture and the clearly marked stone/ground underneath, the posture is that off two Pertho Runes standing back too back one off pertho,s interpretations is rock and destiny, coupled with snakes one might say that this forgotten Deity is mother earth well at least she is strongly associated with earth, underground.
Equally interesting is the Triskelon made up of different creatures maybe a raven a eagle possible a wild boar
Her very special hair-dress is not unique there are lots of artifacts depicting female figures that have the same hair knots, one would love to know what it represented.
On the back you will find a loop for wall hanging.
this magnificent ritual item is handmade in Sweden casted with acrylic resin and painted in different layers to mimic aged bronze. Variation in color may occur because they are all hand painted.
the statues are waterproof and non toxic so you can safely polish your mead on the statue.
The design and creation is my own.
